The Concept
HKHQ.tv aims to merge these three media – online video channel, social media platform, Web magazine – together in a way that brings you a deeper look into the industries of fashion, art and lifestyle in Hong Kong. Through the use of stylish video footage, intelligent interviews, and easy online-sharing capabilities, HKHQ.tv allows viewers to fully appreciate, understand and share cutting-edge ideas emerging amongst your peers.
Key Contributors
Boris Burgess
Boris is the founder and creator of HKHQ.tv. He created the website as a means to publish his film and video work as well as create an online space that promotes the fashion, arts, and lifestyle industries in Hong Kong.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Boris has accumulated an extensive portfolio of work in Hong Kong through his film production company, Mediam Rare, working with clients such as Central/Central, Electric sekki, The British Fashion Council, Chow Tai Fook, Nespresso, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and San Miguel Light.
Boris aims to further develop his directing skills, taking on short film, feature film and commercial work.
Priscilla I’Anson
Priscilla is a stylist, digital consultant and co-creator of HKHQ.tv. Priscilla started her career as an assistant buyer at Lane Crawford and since then has gone on to expand her portfolio working as a stylist for publications such as the South China Morning Post, i66, Asia Pacific Boating, LP Magazine as well as fashion blogging for Electric sekki, one of Hong Kong and Asia’s premier fashion blogs.
As a stylist, Priscilla enjoys the creative and interactive nature of the job; creating a story through different visual elements and working in a team-based environment with other creative individuals. Writing (and fashion blogging) is another one of her keen passions, so be sure to read HKHQ.tv’s Blog to view some of her insights and opinions on her own work and other topics of interest in Hong Kong.
King Ho
King joined HKHQ.tv while still completing his Advertising, Branding and Packaging certificate with VTC. Now a graduate, King’s skills have rapidly improved during his short time working as a cameraman, editor and director’s assistant.
King gets great satisfaction from the whole video production process, from filming at events to editing at the office. He loves sharing his work amongst his peers and is committed to learning and developing his skills as a cameraman, editor and digital effects specialist.
When he’s not working, you can catch King on the basketball courts in Tseung Kwan O, shooting swishes and dunking hoops.
